Quality Management

Quality Management is the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies to governments, business processes and systems.  This well proven tools set originated in the US, as we entered WWII.  The demand for aircraft, ships, tanks and weaponry were high, and our ability to produce was low.  We had to make the supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution chain, as streamlined and efficient as possible to catch up to demand.  All waste in both material and labor had to be reduced or eliminated.  Work forces had to be motivated, and delivery had to be rapid. This was the birth of Lean and Six Sigma.

After the war, we gave these powerful tools to Japan to be used in rebuilding their country as well as their industries.  In Japan, this game-changing set of tools evolved into what we see today, and Japan’s well-known Toyota manufacturing processes, systems and methodologies are often used as best practice models for the rest of the world.

Quality Management in government is used to eliminate waste and unnecessary duplication and is currently responsible for BILLIONS of dollars in cost savings, while simultaneously maximizing human capital and providing better service to end users.

In the private sector, Lean, Six Sigma and Agile, all combine to find waste, streamline process, better utilize employees, reduce costs, increase cashflow and most important, assure better quality of service to customers.
